Waldkonig showed his exciting potential today in winning the bet365 Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown for John and Thady Gosden, and owner/breeders Newsells Park Stud in partnership with Gestut Ammerland.

Group 1, St James’s Palace Stakes winner Without Parole has had his first mares scanned in foal. Fittingly, the first mare scanned in foal was John and Tanya Gunther’s own mare, Church On Time, a half-sister to Gr.1 winner, Competitionofideas.

It was celebrations all round yesterday evening at Newsells Park Stud when Elody Swann won the stud staff category at the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards.
