Once again Waldgeist proved himself a top-class colt with an impressive win in the Gr.2 Qatar Prix Foy at Longchamp, and an ideal trial for the four-year-old colt's main target, the Gr.1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in October.

Nathaniel sired a new Gr.2 winner today with God Given winning the DFS Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster for trainer Luca Cumani and owner breeder St Albans Bloodstock Ltd.

It was a memorable day for stallions standing at Newsells Park Stud. Firstly Nathaniel’s daughter Enable made a stunning return to the track in 2018 winning the Gr.3 September Stakes at Kempton in style. Later in the day it was Equiano’s turn to celebrate when The Tin Man landed his third Gr.1 success in winning the 32Red Sprint Cup Stakes at Haydock.

On the eve of the next round of yearling sales in the UK, it was great to see another Newsells Park Stud bred Group winner, with Beautiful Morning landing the Gr.3 Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday 26 August.

8 Gr.1 winners have been bred or raised by Newsells Park Stud in the last 7 years, 8 Gr.2 winners, 13 Gr.3 winners and 55 individual Group/Stakes winners.

Nathaniel sired another Group winner today with Pilaster landing the £300,000 Gr.2 Qatar Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood.

Lightning strikes at Goodwood for Newsells Park Stud with Lightning Spear landing the Gr.1 Sussex Stakes, a well deserved Gr.1 victory for this incredibly tenacious and consistent top class horse.

It was an exciting Sunday for Newsells’ sire Nathaniel with three high-class Group performances by his progeny. God Given was denied Gr.2 success by just an agonising short head in the bet365 Lancashire Oaks at Haydock.

The mare Waldlerche notched a notable double on today’s card at Saint-Cloud with her first two foals gaining Group success; Waldgeist won the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and Waldlied landed the Gr.2 Prix de Malleret.

Very many congratulations to owners/breeders John and Tanya Gunther following the success of Without Parole in the Gr.1 St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. Born and raised at Newsells Park Stud, Without Parole, took the lead over a furlong out in the mile contest to score by a half-length.
