Triple Gr.2 winning 2yo including at Royal Ascot over 5f.
Gr.2 winning 5f sprinter at 3.
Homebred by Newsells Park Stud in partnership with Fittocks Stud, Pearled Majesty scored an impressive victory in the Gr.3 Prix Noailles at ParisLongchamp today.
Making his stakes debut in a race with a rich history—featuring past winners such as Bering, Helissio and Calandagan—the son of Persian King announced himself as a colt of considerable promise with a decisive pillar-to-post success over 10½ furlongs.
Breaking sharply from a wide draw, Pearled Majesty was quickly into stride under Christophe Soumillon, who allowed him to stride on and dictate from the front. Turning for home, the pair increased the tempo, and despite sustained pressure he battled on to maintain his advantage, crossing the line 1¼ lengths clear.
Trained by Mauricio Delcher Sanchez, and owned by him with Mme Christiane Head, Pearled Majesty becomes the sixth Stakes winner for his sire. He is the second foal out of Perle d’Auge (Le Havre), an unraced half-sister to dual Gr.3 winner Eternal Pearl, while his second dam, Pearly Steph, is a half-sister to Gr.1 Matron Stakes heroine Pearls Galore. His half-sister Three Pearls was runner-up in the Listed Prix de Thiberville.
This progressive three-year-old looks a very exciting prospect for the season ahead, with further Stakes opportunities—and potentially Classic targets—now firmly on the horizon.
