A’Ali’s star filly Ali Shuffle made it three wins from three runs with another convincing victory in the reputable CAA Stellar Lily Agnes EBF Conditions Stakes at Chester today.
She has also won a Novice Stakes at Beverley, even carrying a penalty, following up her debut race victory at Redcar one month ago, and has now amassed over £30,000 in prize money and £50,000 in GBB Bonuses for connections including trainer Karl Burke and owners Nick Bradley Racing 5 & E Burke.
Trainer Karl Burke said: “That was very straightforward. I know the draw is a massive advantage here, but Ali Shuffle won with a little bit in hand. She was coasting around there. She’s got such a great mind.
“Very early on people were ringing me up for first-season sires, we’ve three A’Ali fillies and I said all of them will win, but she’s the only one we’ve managed to run so far. She’s probably exceeded expectations. Nick just said about the Hilary Needler, but we’ll see how she is. She can go to Ascot and wouldn’t disgrace herself there, that’s for sure. She’ll be even better over six furlongs and with a lead too, but we couldn’t give up that draw today.”
Ali Shuffle was bred by Bickmarsh Stud out of the Oasis Dream mare Always Dreaming, a half-sister to Gr.3 Darley Stakes winner Feliciana De Vega and the daughter of Along Came Casey, a dual Listed winner from the family of July Cup and Nunthorpe winner Stravinsky. She was purchased by the Burke family for 32,000gns from Bickmarsh Stud at Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2 last year.
First season sire, A’Ali, is now the sire of two highly rated runners with Joyful Tidings also proving an exciting prospect for this season having comfortably landed a maiden at Tipperary on his racecourse debut a few weeks ago.
