A’Ali’s run of success with his first crop continued today with Society Kiss readily winning the Juddmonte British EBF Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Ascot on her debut. In doing so she also equalled the two-year-old 5f course record set by No Nay Never in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Always in touch with the leaders, Society Kiss produced an eye-catching burst to win readily for connections, trainer Ralph Beckett and owner Clarence Bennie Robinson, and also picked up a GB Bonus of £20,000 for them.
Trainer Ralph Beckett said: “A hugely exciting filly, very quick and proved it today. She’ll go straight to the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot.”
Bred by Llety Farms out of One Kiss (Sayif), a two-year-old winning half-sister to 6f Gr.3 winner Jimmy Styles and daughter of Gr.3 two-year-old Gr.3 Morecombe Stakes winner Inya Lake, Society Kiss is a half-sister to three winners. She was purchased by Alex Elliott for 55,000gns from the Tattersalls Breeze-Up Sales just over three weeks ago.
Earlier this week another A’Ali filly, Ali Shuffle made it three wins from three runs with another convincing victory in the reputable Lily Agnes EBF Conditions Stakes at Chester. Also Joyful Tidings is proving another exciting A’Ali prospect for this season having comfortably landed a maiden at Tipperary on his racecourse debut a few weeks ago.
