First mares in foal for Without Parole

11/03/2021

Gr.1 St James’s Palace Stakes winner Without Parole has had his first mares scanned in foal. Fittingly, the first mare scanned in foal was John and Tanya Gunther’s own mare, Church On Time, a half-sister to Gr.1 winner, Competitionofideas. Other mares scanned in foal include Skrei, a Stakes winning daughter of Approve, from the immediate family of Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner, Lumiere and Atomic Blonde, a Stakes winner by Scat Daddy.

The beautifully bred Without Parole, a son of the mighty Frankel, out of the Lemon Drop Kid mare, Without You Babe, was unbeaten when running out the impressive winner of the 2018 renewal of the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. He went on to be placed in a further three Gr.1 races, most notably the Breeder’s Cup Mile, where he beat the likes of Circus Maximus and Lord Glitters.

Without Parole is also a half-brother to US Gr.1 winner and sire Tamarkuz (Speightstown), whose first progeny have got off to an impressive start, and the Stakes winning filly She’s Got You (Kingman).

Standing at Newsells Park Stud for £10,000, Without Parole has attracted a quality book of mares for his first season at stud, including a significant number of Group/Stakes winners/performers and producers.
