Yearling Prep Staff required

(Approx £30,000 per annum + accommodation)

Newsells Park Stud, Royston, Hertfordshire is situated in 1200 acres of beautiful rolling countryside.

We are seeking yearling prep staff to help prepare our yearlings for the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales in 2025.

As the leading consignor at the Tattersalls October Book 1 Yearling Sale for the last seven consecutive years this is an excellent opportunity to handle high-quality bloodstock. Whilst being an integral part of our dynamic and friendly team, working on a beautiful 1,200 acres estate with world-class facilities.

A total remuneration package of over £30,000 per annum and excellent bonuses is offered to the right candidates, in addition to accommodation. Ideally the position is from July to October 2025 inclusive but can start later. After the sales, other job opportunities with the stud may be offered if you are interested in furthering your career with us.

Applicants must have a good level of horsemanship and be eligible to work in the UK.

Barn Leader Required

Interested in working for one of Europe’s leading studs?

We are seeking a Barn Leader to join the team at our state-of-the-art 1200 acre thoroughbred stud farm.  The successful applicant must be enthusiastic and hard-working, reliable, prepared to work as a team, as well as being confident in running their own barn of mares and foals. Considerable experience of working with yearlings during sales preparation and with mares & foals is essential for this position.

Applicants should be prepared to work alternate weekends and extra hours when needed. They must be eligible to work in the UK under the new EU regulations.

The package includes excellent family accommodation and a total remuneration package of approx. £40,000, including private medical insurance, death in service benefit, personal accident insurance, and a generous company bonus scheme.
