Mount Nelson and Equiano on parade at Tattersalls on 5th February

19/01/2015 Mount Nelson

Mount Nelson and Equiano will be on parade at the TBA Stallion Parade at Tattersalls on Thursday 5th February, where we look forward to seeing you and discussing your mares mating plans.

The parade starts at 10.00am, and afterwards the stallions can be individually inspected.

Both stallions are now back from their shuttle duties in the Southern Hemisphere and are also available to view at Newsells Park Stud by appointment.

Mount Nelson had a fantastic 2014 with 5 Group or Stakes winners, (including Berkshire, Purr Along and Volume) and 10 Group winners/performers in all.  He has 9.4% black type 3yo+ winners to runners, better than top sires such as Dubawi, Sea The Stars, Dansili, Shamardal, Teofilo, Montjeu, Oasis Dream etc.  He also continues to prove a good two-year-old sire with two highly promising Group performers again in 2014.
He is terrific value at £6,000 1st Oct SLF, and is the leading stallion in GB standing for under £40,000 by Group performers in 2014 (statistics by Hyperion Promotions).

Equiano has made a very promising start to his career with three Group winners and performers in 2014, including Dark Reckoning, Strath Burn and Lola Beaux.  He has been getting plenty of winners, and as one would expect from a horse that was at his best at three and five-years-old, his runners look like they are improving with time and showing encouraging signs for their Classic year.

In addition, Equiano has over 130 two-year-olds set to run in 2015, and this crop sold for €135,000, 120,000gns, €90,000, €85,000, €80,000, 75,000gns, 75,000gns, etc at last year’s yearling sales. Making him also good value at £8,000 1st Oct SLF.
