Fabulous Four to be consigned at DBS Premier Sales


Two are siblings to Stakes winners. One is a half-brother to Danehill Destiny, a 6f Stakes winner and multiple Gr.3 performer, by Champion sprinter and Gr.1 sire Fastnet Rock out of Comeraincomeshine (Night Shift), a half-sister to Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Where Or When (Lot 311). The other is a half-brother to multiple Stakes winner St Moritz by five-time Gr.1 and Royal Ascot 2yo Coventry Stakes winner Canford Cliffs (Lot 142).

Six-figure highlights from Arqana yearling consignment


The highlights of the Newsells Park Stud consignment at this year’s Arqana August Sales in Deauville last weekend included the purchase by Richard O'Gorman for €320,000 of the full-brother in blood to Gr.2 May Hill Stakes winner, Ihtimal, by Shamardal out of Hometime (Dubai Destination), a half-sister to Gr.1 Prix de Diane winner West Wind (Lot 114).


More exciting winners for Equiano


The Equiano filly Dark Reckoning won her second race on the trot when landing the valuable Ripon Horn Blower Conditions Stakes at Ripon on Saturday 16th August. Owned by Qatar Racing, and held in high regard by her trainer Ann Duffield, she relished the step up to 6f and looks like another exciting prospect for her first-season sire.

It was a good day at Glorious Goodwood for Newsells Park Stud stallions today with a winner and a Gr.3 second. Firstly, the Mount Nelson three-year-old Hors De Combat ran a cracking race to just get narrowly beaten into second place in the Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes (Gr.3).
